Compromising is not only a good thing for your relationship, but it’s also great for opening up to new things that you might not have seen before. All the mind games, tricks and battle of wits of both the lovable characters proves to be a perfect movie to watch with your lover.
9. beautiful woman
A playboy billionaire who won’t commit meets a Southern belle turned street prostitute. An unexpected pairing, okay, but it works! This classic romantic film stars Julia Roberts and Richard Gere and tells the story of how love blossoms in the most outrageous setups and most unexpected couples.

11. star wars
Ahh, this classic. If you really want to enjoy it like a longtime fan then watch the original three.
This is not just a trilogy about space battles but about friendship, love and second chances. This is a great movie to watch with your boyfriend because he gets the thrill and intensity that he wants, but it’s paired with emotions so beautifully that it grabs your attention.
12. bottleneck
A short romantic comedy, the film stars Will Smith in the lead role. He helps people to move ahead and get the girls of their dreams. However, Smith himself is far from effortless as he tries to woo the beautiful Eva Mendes.
This movie has some heart-wrenching physical comedy scenes as well as the sweet and touching moments you’ve come to expect.
13. very sick
The film is based on the true story of how Kumail Nanjiani met and wooed his real-life wife. So, sit back and relax while Westley and Buttercup go through trials and tribulations and ultimately get their happy ending with the help of some unlikely friends.
15. dead pool
If you want the perfect movie to watch with your boyfriend, then this and its sequel, Deadpool 2, are what you want. It’s ridiculously dark and raunchy, yet it has those touching moments of romance that you want too. It’s a mix of gore and violence, as well as a shockingly heartbreaking story about a man who will do anything to survive and save the love of his life.
16. titanic
Of course, a classic. This film doesn’t even need to try to be part of the list. It is a beautiful, heart-warming and then heart-crushing story of two strangers from different social classes who meet aboard a grand ship, but tragedy tears them apart.
17. Acan always be mine
It’s a newer and perhaps less well-known film, but that shouldn’t diminish its perfection. Co-written by and starring comedians Ali Wong and Randall Park, this romantic comedy is so unexpected and refreshing.
This is the story of two childhood friends from their lives to their careers and a new relationship. But their histories and different lifestyles hinder their plans and not only their romance but also their friendship may come to an end. 18. i love you
This buddy comedy isn’t just for your man. Paul Rudd plays a wonderful boyfriend who has no friends of his own. That is until she meets Jason Segel’s character and they begin to connect over some very strange things.
19. bridesmaids
Do you know those times in your life when you’re alone, you haven’t thought about your career, and it seems like every moment that comes along could turn out badly? This film focuses on this. Kristen Wiig plays Annie, a failed bakery owner who lets men treat her badly, who is in a bad situation but whose best friend is marrying the love of her life.
A strange group of women gather for bridal functions and a lot of nonsense ensues. Sure, it has a mostly female cast, but that’s what makes it so great. You and your boyfriend will love this movie.
20. friends with benefits
Did you have a FWB situation with your boyfriend before you settled down? Even if you haven’t, this sexy and hilarious rom-com starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis will make you wish you did. It’s clever, enjoyable and features some amazing cameos from Emma Stone and even Shaun White.
This is a good movie to watch with your lover because it is simple entertainment. It doesn’t require much emotion or thought. It’s just your classic romantic comedy, but not so sweet.
21. Forgetting Sarah Marshall
This is the film that started the male-dominated romantic comedy. Instead of following an unhappy woman who is alone or dealing with heartbreak, this film stars Jason Segel trying to come to terms with a big breakup. But, when he goes on a trip to relax, his ex-girlfriend is there with her new boyfriend.
22. you’ve got Mail
Okay, maybe it made this list because it’s one of my personal favorites, but regardless of my personal feelings it’s still worthy of this list. This classic ’90s romantic comedy stars the one and only Tom Hanks and rom-com icon herself, Meg Ryan.
Sure, it may not have the hot sex scenes, action, or even the intense humor that some of the other movies on this list have, but, so what? What more could you want than to capture the feelings two dueling bookstore owners have for each other in New York?
23. Finally
It is a lovely film about love, life and the unique father-son relationship. It’s not necessarily a comedy, but a low-key comedy. It depicts a young man coming of age and learning that, like his father, he can go back in time. With this new power, he struggles to use it to his advantage.
Through love, fatherhood, and loss, he learns the true meaning of life while having some funny encounters along the way. It may seem somewhat dark, and that’s because it is, but it’s driven by a remarkable cast and clever dialogue.
24. marley and me
Are you trying to convince your boyfriend to get a dog with you? Well, this movie could really push them in either direction. Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson star as a couple who adopt a puppy and it follows the trio through marriage, kids and more.
25. We’re the Millers
Another comedy starring Jennifer Aniston, but this one is rated much higher than R. With amazing casting like Jason Sudeikis, Emma Roberts, and Nick Offerman, you can’t go wrong. The Millers, a made-up family trying to get an RV of drug addicts across the border, meet some unique characters who make their trip a little more than they bargained for.
It is not only hilarious, but it also has some very sweet and romantic moments. Don’t get me wrong, the deeper levels of comedy overshadow them, but they’re there if you want them.
26. meet the Parents
27. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
This is one of Jim Carrey’s most underrated movies. Co-starring Kate Winslet, the film is based on the aftermath of a breakup. It’s a balance of sci-fi, romance, and indie genres. There…
